DRÁŽĎANY
Drazdany, originally a fishermens' village where merchants carried out their business, gradually became the kings' residence. Today it is the political center of the Federal State, and the seat of the government, the senate, and other national institutions. It is set along the shores of the Labe River and, thanks to its natural location, it is often called "The Florence of the Polab province". Drazdany doesn't offer only baroque architecture, but also a number of other historical attractions, which are sure to conquer your heart. Amongst the most famous ones are the Zwinger Albertinum Gallery, the Hofkirche and Frauenkir churches, and the Semperoper Opera House. The tour includes an entrance ticket to the famous Zwinger baroque palace, which is located in the center of the city, and which today is a gallery that displays such works as the Sistine Madonna, some paintings of Rembrandt, and paintings of other renown artists. Please note: the visit to the Zwinger gallery does not include a guide.
